Two minor dalit girls raped and hanged in Uttar Pradesh:: Jangal Raaj: No Security for poor and Dalits:: This Society demand rapid action against the accused-

LUCKNOW: The deteriorating law and order in Uttar Pradesh came under sharp focus after two cousins were gang-raped and killed in a rural area of Badayun district, with opposition parties blaming the Samajwadi Party government for not acting against the accused.

The two minor Dalit girls had gone missing since Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, their bodies were found, hanging from the tree, which led to a huge public protest in the area and a massive outcry across the state.

The alleged involvement of local police officials in abetting the crime led to the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party cornering the government for its failure to provide security to citizens and letting criminals go scot free. The victims were identified as cousins aged 14 and 15 hailing from Sahadatganj village in Badayun district, which is represented by ruling party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's nephew Dharmendra Yadav.

The family members of the girls said they were gang-raped and murdered by three brothers of the same village. Villagers shocked by the crime blocked a nearby highway for nearly six hours. They demanded action against the three brothers and police officials who had brushed off the parents of the girls when they tried to lodge a missing persons complaint on Tuesday.

The parents of the murdered girls were allegedly roughed up when they had gone to the local police station to lodge their complaint. Villagers said the Katra Bazaar police were shielding the accused. The involvement of one police constable in the crime is also suspected.

After the public outcry, three police officials-Sarvesh Yadav, Chatrapal Singh and Ramvilas Yadav—were suspended. An FIR was lodged against the three alleged to have committed the crime, with one of them being arrested Thursday evening.

State BJP president Laxmikant Bajpayee said, "This is sheer collapse of law and order. There is no fear among criminals and they have become so emboldened that after raping and killing girls they dare to hang then from a tree."

THIS SOCIETY DEMAND RAPID ACTION AGAINST THE RAPIST AND MUDERIST  AND THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED IMMEDIATAELY AS PER THE COUNTRY LAW AS AMENDED.
